Developers & OEM

Engineering Better Broadcast Integration Together.

OnAirRender Studio is built around an extensible software architecture, with opportunities for native hardware integration and OEM collaboration.

Integration philosophy

Native SDKs, Exposed as Usable Resources.

OnAirRender integrates hardware through manufacturers' native SDKs and documented protocols. Device capabilities are exposed as resources in the orchestration environment, where operators, panels and scripts can use them alongside every other device in the studio.

Each device family is developed against real hardware and is described as available only after it has been validated. Until then, its status on our Integrations page says so.

  • Video input and output
  • Multi-channel SDI
  • Timecode and synchronisation
  • Recording and playback
  • Device configuration
  • Routing
  • GPU-oriented workflows
  • Network control

Hardware-specific functionality is scoped together and validated before it is committed to.

How an integration fits

From Driver to Workflow.

  1. SDK

    Native access

The vendor SDK or protocol, used directly by a dedicated component.

  2. PROCESS

    Isolated I/O

Device I/O runs in a supervised worker process that is monitored and restarted if it stops.

  3. MODEL

    Resources

Connectors, signals and controls appear in the Physical and Operational Views.

  4. WORKFLOW

    Production use

Operators, control panels and scripts use the device like any other resource.

What we are looking for

We welcome discussions with hardware manufacturers and technology providers interested in native software integration, evaluation hardware, SDK collaboration and potential OEM distribution opportunities.

Current integration work is listed with its real status on the Integrations page. We do not announce partnerships that have not been agreed.
